The City of Fort Saskatchewan is developing a new Land Use Bylaw, and the Estate District (ESD) is the next community in the project. This includes Southfort Estates, Pointe Aux Pins, and Clover Park areas.

What You Need to Know

  • Why This Matters: We’re shaping the future of the ESD while preserving its unique character.
  • What’s Happening: We’ve drafted regulations for the ESD for your review. See below for the more details and a link to download the draft ESD. 
  • How to Provide Input: From July 4-27, share your thoughts via email or at an in-person drop-in session (details below). Need assistance? Call 780-912-2150. 
  • Your Voice Matters: We’re still in the early stages—nothing is finalized yet. Your input will help shape the final decisions.

What's New in the Draft ESD? 

  • Estate properties are permitted up to a maximum of two (2) Backyard Dwelling units.
  • Enhanced landscaping regulations for new and redeveloped sites.
  • Regulations for Agriculture and Urban Agriculture.
