Public Hearings

Municipal Development Plan (MDP) Amendment

Public Hearing for Bylaw C17-20

An amendment to the Municipal Development Plan (the Plan or MDP) 2010- 2030 has been proposed by the City Administration to bring the lands annexed January 2020 into the Plan boundary. This amendment recognizes the city’s new boundary and identifies annexed lands as ‘Unplanned Lands’ as these lands are not currently given direction under an Area Structure Plan. The amendment also outlines steps necessary to prepare the ‘Unplanned Lands’ for future development.

Consolidation of residential districts

Public Hearing notice for Bylaw C23-20

Topics include: district consolidation, residential side yard setbacks, secondary suite parking, garage & garden suites, commercial & residential signage & the creation of a new use class specific to Downtown. Fort Saskatchewan residents are invited to register to speak, or send their feedback.
