The Leaders In Training Program provides an excellent opportunity for teens
13 – 17 to learn valuable leadership, communication and supervision skills by working with children and other leaders.. A leader in training will participate in LIT training, assist in the planning and leading of daily summer program activities, assist on program field trips. Have a great time this summer by meeting new people within the community!
The Leader in Training experience includes an interview, training sessions and volunteer time in a summer program setting. Upon completion, LIT’s volunteer for a minimum of one week in our summer programs where new skills will be practiced.
In addition to having fun and gaining valuable experience, each LIT will receive:
- An honorarium of $100.00 for each week of volunteer work
- A certificate completed training
- A reference letter
