Easter long weekend is almost here! On Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6), City Hall, the Transfer Station, Fort Heritage Precinct, and the Library will be closed.
Please note: Fort Sask Transit will not operate on Good Friday, but runs regular service on Easter Monday.

Spring Drop-In Schedules Started April 1
Longer days and a new season mean more ways to stay active in Fort Sask. Spring drop-in schedules at the Dow Centennial Centre and Harbour Pool began April 1, with a full lineup of swimming, fitness classes, and casual sports to fit your routine.
Whether you’re looking to get in a morning lane swim, join a midday fitness class, or bring the family out for a public swim, there are options throughout the week. Popular favourites like aquasize, yoga, strength classes, and drop-in sports are all back, along with flexible times to make it easier to fit activity into your day.
Schedules run through the spring season and are subject to change, so it’s a good idea to check online before you head out.

Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion
Ready to take your swimming skills to the next level? The Bronze Medallion program builds the judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness needed for real-life water rescues. Practice lifesaving techniques, work through rescue scenarios, and strengthen your problem-solving and decision-making skills, all while gaining confidence in and around the water.
Prerequisite: Bronze Star or 13+ years

Easter Fun at the Fort Heritage Precinct
Hop on over for a fun-filled afternoon of Easter activities at the Fort Heritage Precinct on Friday, April 11 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
This free, drop-in community event is perfect for families looking to celebrate the season together. Visitors can enjoy:

- Egg-citing Easter activities
- A festive, family-friendly atmosphere

Mounties and Monsters: A New Role-Playing Experience
Step into the March West through a tabletop role‑playing game for young adults at the Fort Heritage Precinct. Across four sessions, participants become members of the North West Mounted Police, facing historic challenges and imaginative storytelling inspired by the Canadian West.
In the game, “monsters” symbolize real environmental and survival obstacles such as prairie storms, river crossings, disease, exhaustion, scarce supplies, and isolation, alongside imaginative creatures inspired by Indigenous folklore that add depth and creativity to the story.
This program is beginner friendly and all materials are provided. For ages 14-21.

Cook, Learn, and Taste History at the Fort Heritage Precinct
Step into the kitchen and discover how resourceful cooks of the past made simple ingredients go a long way. The Thrifty Cooking series at the Fort Heritage Precinct brings history to life through hands-on recipes pulled straight from the museum’s cookbook collection.
Each session offers a chance to learn practical skills, try something new, and enjoy the results. Designed for ages 14+, with small class sizes (maximum 12 participants), it’s a fun and interactive way to connect with local history.

Refrigerant Item Drop-Off Resumes April 7
Starting April 7, the Transfer & Eco Station will once again accept fridges, freezers, and other items containing refrigerant.
To ensure the safe and environmentally responsible servicing of these units, there is a $25 per unit fee for refrigerant-containing items.
