2026 Property Assessment Notices

Notices were mailed and emailed on January 29, 2026. If you have questions about your assessment, the deadline to submit a complaint is April 7, 2026. Property tax notices will be issued in May, with payment due June 30.

You can view your assessment, submit forms online, and sign up to go paperless at fortsask.ca/Assessment. For assistance, call the City of Fort Saskatchewan Property Tax Department at 780-992-6228.


Keep Kids Active This Winter!

Fort Saskatchewan has fun, active options for kids this winter:

  • Preschool Fun, Fitness, and Friends (ages 2.5–5): Play, crafts, and movement. Next session: February 12; also starting March 2 & 5.

  • Parents’ Night Off (ages newborn–9): Four hours of supervised fun so you can enjoy a quiet night or early Valentine’s outing. February 13, plus Fridays in February & March.

  • No School Days Programs: Half or full days of games, crafts, and active play. February 5 and 6 sessions available.

Preschool Plunge & Play Spaces Still Available

Looking for an unparented program that builds independence while keeping your preschooler active and engaged? Preschool Plunge & Play combines physical creativity, art, storytelling, snacks, and swimming in a safe, supportive environment. Each class includes a minimum half-hour pool session, helping children grow comfortable and confident in the water while having fun.

Prerequisites: Children must be 3 years or older, fully toilet-trained and able to dress themselves.

Classes start as early as February 2.

Show & Slide

Show & Slide is like show and tell, but for youth ages 16–24. Share what you care about through a short slide presentation and connect with other young people who are doing the same.

Register by February 6 at fortsask.ca/FCSSworkshops.

Art in Public Places Program – Call for Artists

The Art in Public Places Program brings creativity into shared spaces across Fort Sask. Each year, City Council allocates funding to purchase up to two new pieces of artwork for public display, supporting community well-being and building a lasting cultural legacy for residents and visitors.

Local artists are invited to apply for the 2026 program. All submissions must be received by 4:00 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Winter Activity Kits Available to Borrow

Looking for ways to enjoy the outdoors this winter? The City offers three types of Winter Activity Kits, free to borrow for a five-day period. Each kit comes packed with gear to help you explore, play and make the most of the season. Options include snowshoes and trail maps, trekking poles and shoe spikes, or a family-focused kit with toboggans, snowball makers and kids’ skates.

These kits are a great way to try something new without the cost of buying equipment.
