Hear Our Voices: Michel People & Residential Schools Exhibit
Hear Our Voices: Michel People & Residential Schools opens July 17 at the Fort Heritage Precinct.
This multimedia exhibition features personal testimonies and historical information that share the experiences of members of the Michel Band who attended Canada's residential schools. Visitors are invited to listen, learn, and reflect on the lasting impacts of the residential school system.

Get ready to plan your season of activity! The Fall Leisure Guide will be available to view online July 28.
Registration opens:
- August 4 @ 8:00 am: Fitness, preschool, child and youth programs at the Dow Centennial Centre, plus Fort Heritage Precinct and FCSS programs
- August 5 @ 8:00 am: Aquatic programs
This fall at the Dow Centennial Centre, discover fitness favourites and new classes, plus preschool, child and youth programs including No School Days, Sportball, Level Up, Power Up!, GO Sports! Volleyball, Babysitter’s Training, Home Alone, and leadership programs.
At Harbour Pool, dive into Swim for Life lessons, aquatic programs, and leadership opportunities. New this fall, AQ LIT (Aquatic Leaders in Training) gives youth a chance to build leadership skills, gain hands-on experience, and explore a future in aquatics.

FCSS Film Series
Experience four powerful films that spark reflection on life, belonging, identity, and community on the Prairies and beyond.
This free four-part film series brings meaningful, community-focused storytelling to Fort Saskatchewan. Each film highlights voices of lived experiences, different perspectives, and the relationships that connect us as neighbours and communities.
Rooted in FCSS’s commitment to strengthening connection and belonging, the series invites audiences to engage, reflect, and share in conversations that shape the way we live together and understand one another.
Screenings are at Fort Cinema, doors open at 6:30 pm, shows at 7:00 pm:
- August 24: Digging in the Dirt
- September 14: Patrice: The Movie
- October 19: Pride vs Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story
- November 16: The Grizzlies
Free admission | First come, first served | No reserved seating
Ages 14+. Films include complex social issues and some mature themes.
