Fort Saskatchewan Residents Invited to Help Choose New Playground Design for Pryce Alderson Park
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is inviting residents to help shape the future of Pryce Alderson Park by voting on the playground’s replacement design. The update comes as the existing equipment has reached the end of its lifecycle and is due for replacement.
On Friday, May 23, residents are encouraged to drop by Pryce Alderson Park (617 Westpark Drive) between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm to view the proposed playground designs and cast their vote. The designs will be displayed on large boards at a temporary pop-up tent located in the park.
“This is a chance for residents to help select the look and feel of one of our popular neighbourhood parks,” said Jordan Halter, Engineering Coordinator at the City of Fort Saskatchewan. “We’re excited to involve the community in this part of the process—it’s their park, and we want it to reflect what they value most.”
Voting will be done in person only. Each design has been developed based on space requirements, safety standards, and creative play features, and the options meet the full scope of the City’s playground replacement goals.
