Join us for the Annual Candy Cane Check Stop on December 18!
The City of Fort Saskatchewan, in collaboration with local first responders, invites you to the annual Candy Cane Check Stop on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the CO-OP parking lot.
This holiday tradition is a chance for our community to come together, meet our dedicated first responders, and help promote road safety during the festive season.
What to Expect:
- Hot Chocolate & Holiday Cheer: Visit with first responders, including Fire, EMS, and others, who will be handing out hot chocolate and candy canes.
- Safety First: RCMP and other team members will conduct check-stops, hand out candy canes, and promote safety messaging about the importance of sober driving during the holidays.
The Candy Cane Check Stop is a fun and meaningful way to spread holiday cheer while reinforcing safe driving practices. It’s part of the City’s Vision Zero efforts. By working together as a community, we can ensure everyone has a safe and joyful holiday season.
"This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet your local first responders, enjoy some holiday treats, and commit to safety on the roads," said Coreen Rayner, Director of Protective Services. "We encourage all residents to stop by and join us in this festive initiative."
Mark your calendars for December 18 and come to the CO-OP parking lot to celebrate the holiday season with us!
