Legacy Park Family Festival is Baaack for 2025!

Don’t miss out on Fort Saskatchewan’s signature summer kick-off event on Saturday, June 7. The Legacy Park Family Festival is back, featuring great food, entertainment, community, service group booths, and many fun activities. Of course, it will also mark the return of our beloved sheep! The festival will run from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. We thank Keyera for their valued partnership that has lasted nearly 30 years.

“We are thrilled to host once again the Legacy Park Family Festival, an event that truly embodies the spirit of our community," said City event organizer Arthur Lewandowski. This festival not only provides entertainment and fun for all ages but also highlights the incredible talent and creativity of our youth through the partnership with YouthFest. We look forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate and enjoy this beloved tradition."

Festival Activities

Bring the family down to see the return of our famous sheep, jump around in the inflatables, get a custom caricature print, visit the petting zoo, say hi to Marshal and Chase from Paw Patrol, or express yourself with custom face painting and glitter tattoos.

YouthFest Activities

The Legacy Park Family Festival continues its partnership with YouthFest, allowing our older youth to showcase their talents and engage in various art forms. Whether through an Art Walk, a community project, or a take-home art project, there is plenty for attendees to do and see.

New This Year

See if you can survive the Toxic Meltdown and the 50-foot Atomic Rush obstacle course. If the hustle and bustle is a little too overwhelming, you can also take advantage of our new sensory room, run by Autism Edmonton. This room provides a diverse selection of sensory equipment curated to cultivate inclusive and supportive environments.

Chalk Art Contest

For the second straight year, the festival, in collaboration with YouthFest, is hosting a chalk art contest. Over 20 participants will create masterpieces that bring color to the CN Station parking lot. Chalk will also be available for anyone who wants to play in our free play area.

Stage Performances

The stage will showcase amazing local talent. Enjoy the dancing talents of Dance Moves III, the vocal precision of young local singers from Erin Gott Studios, brilliant acting from local youth and drama classes, and music stylings of Steven Sware and Harold Reichstein. Don’t miss Demmi Dupri, our headliner performer, starting at 12:10 and 2:30 pm.

Sheep Return Parade

The Sheep Return Parade is set to start at 1:00 pm. Find your place along the road between Legacy Park and the Warden’s House to give them the proper homecoming reception.

Thank you to FYidoctors for coming on board this year and supporting our event.

Legacy Park is located in Downtown Fort Saskatchewan at 101 Street and 100 Avenue. For more information on the festival and the Sheep Returning Parade, visit fortsask.ca/FamilyFestival.
