Lights Up! brings holiday cheer to Fort Saskatchewan on November 27
The holiday season begins at City Hall on Friday, November 27, 2026, with Lights Up! presented by Inter Pipeline. Residents are invited to enjoy a free evening of activities, performances, and the countdown to lighting up City Hall and its grounds from 5:15 to 7:30 pm.
“Lights Up! is a chance to spend time with neighbours and celebrate the start of the holiday season together,” said Mayor Lisa Makin. “I hope to see families and friends out enjoying the activities and sharing in the excitement when the lights come on.”
Enjoy Santa photos, face painting, holiday characters, carolers, and a model train display at City Hall and the Library. Outside, watch fire shows and ice carving, warm up by the fire pits, and visit the petting zoo. Stop by Pioneer House for crafts, displays, cookies, and hot chocolate.
The evening will end with a choir performance, a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, from Mayor Makin and the Lights Up! countdown.
The Enchanted Forest opens during Lights Up! and will remain on display through January 7, 2027. Groups and businesses interested in putting up a tree must register by November 13, 2026.
The City Hall parking lot will be closed during Lights Up! Find event details and Enchanted Forest registration information at fortsask.ca/LightsUp.
