Lights Up! Presented by Inter Pipeline to Brighten the Fort Saskatchewan Holiday Season

The holiday season officially begins in Fort Saskatchewan with Lights Up! presented by Inter Pipeline. Join us on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 5:15 to 7:30 pm at City Hall for an evening of festive fun, glowing lights, and community celebration.

This free, family-friendly event has something for everyone: live performances and holiday characters, cookies, hot chocolate, and plenty of holiday cheer.

“Lights Up! is one of Fort Saskatchewan’s most loved traditions,” said Mayor Lisa Makin. “It’s a time for our community to come together, celebrate the start of the holiday season, and enjoy the warmth and joy that make Fort Sask such a special place to call home.”

Highlights of the evening include:

• Photos with Santa
• Fire shows
• Caricature artist & face painting
• Costumed characters
• Holiday petting zoo & fire pits
• Live music & carollers
• Free light-up necklaces and hand warmers from Inter Pipeline
• Cultural holiday display
• Cookies and hot chocolate sponsored by Dow

To wrap up the evening, gather on the City Hall veranda for a choir performance at 7:15 pm, followed by a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas at 7:25 pm, and the Lights Up! countdown at 7:30 pm — when City Hall and the grounds come alive with thousands of holiday lights.

Important Parking Information: The City Hall parking lot will be closed during the event.
