West River’s Edge Boat Launch Now Open for the 2025 Season

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is pleased to announce that the boat launch at West River’s Edge is now open for the 2025 season.

Situated along the scenic North Saskatchewan River, the launch offers convenient access for boaters, paddlers, and anglers eager to get back on the water. With nearby trails, picnic areas, and washroom facilities, West River’s Edge is also an ideal spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts to spend the day.

“West River’s Edge is a favourite destination for both residents and visitors,” said Jenelle Hart, Manager of Parks Services. “The opening of the boat launch marks the start of another great season of river activity in Fort Saskatchewan.”

Boaters are reminded to check river conditions, follow all safety guidelines, and ensure their watercraft are properly registered and equipped. Please be considerate of others using the area, including those fishing or enjoying the shoreline. The boat launch may close without notice due to changing river conditions.
