Celebrate Canada Day in Fort Saskatchewan!
Join us on July 1 for a full day of free family fun, community activities, and live entertainment.
Enjoy the Canada Day Parade presented by Pembina, face painting, inflatables, the thrilling Ride the Vibe freestyle stunt show, activities for all ages, and an open house at Fort Heritage Precinct.
This year's evening concert at Legacy Park Bandshell features an outstanding lineup of Canadian talent, including The Buckleys, Sarah Vanderzon, and headliner Wide Mouth Mason. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an unforgettable night of live music from 7:00 - 10:00 pm before the evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from on-site vendors throughout the day.
New this year, the Canada Day Parade will follow an updated route through downtown. More details, including the route map, are available on the Canada Day Parade webpage.

Canada Day Hours in Fort Saskatchewan
City Hall, the Eco + Transfer Station, the Public Library, the Dow Centennial Centre, and Harbour Pool will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.
Celebrate Canada Day with free activities happening all day in Legacy Park and throughout downtown Fort Saskatchewan, including an open house at the Fort Heritage Precinct.

Make a splash this summer at Harbour Pool! Summer swimming lessons are open for registration, with classes starting as early as July 6.
Swimming lessons are available for all ages and abilities, from Parent & Tot and Preschool programs to Swimmer levels, Canadian Swim Patrol, SwimAbilities®, and specialty aquatic programs.
Register for Bronze Medallion. Ther’s still room in this lifesaving and water rescue certification course running July 6 - 9, 2026.

Pick up your bingo card at City Hall, DCC, Harbour Pool, or the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library.
Complete a line on your bingo card and submit your completed card to City Hall by October 1 to be entered into a prize draw.
Join the fun, try new activities, and enjoy all that our Healthy Aging Series has to offer this summer. We look forward to seeing you participate!

Summer Specialty Tours at the Fort Heritage Precinct
Guided themed tours exploring architecture, nature, homes, and true crime.
Step inside historic buildings, explore the river valley, and uncover the darker side of the Fort with a series of Summer Specialty Tours at Fort Heritage Precinct.
Tour themes include:
- The Modern Flammable Home: Hidden dangers of historic homes
- Wood & Glass Architecture: Architecture and design secrets
- Flora & Fauna: Local plants, trails, and traditions
- Crime Tour (18+): Chilling true crime stories from the “Hanging Town”
Tours take place throughout July and August and run approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Admission is $13 per person (GST included).
Drop-in tours are available, space permitting. Crime Tours require reservations.

Community Grants
Have an idea that could bring people together or improve your neighbourhood?
Funding is available for resident-led projects that help build connection and community in Fort Saskatchewan.
Eligible projects may include:

- Workshops and cultural celebrations
- Neighbourhood gathering spaces
