Halloween Safety

Stay safe this Halloween

Whether you’re driving or trick-or-treating, help keep Halloween safe. Drivers should slow down and watch carefully near crosswalks, alleys, and driveways.

Trick-or-treaters can stay visible by wearing bright or reflective items, carrying a flashlight, using sidewalks, and crossing at corners or marked crosswalks.

Give a Halloween Treat that gets Kids Moving

For $5, get 10 child and youth drop-in admission coupons for Harbour Pool or the Dow Centennial Centre.

Coupons are for ages 17 and under and are valid November 1 to December 31, 2026, during scheduled drop-in times, while space is available.

Children seven and younger must be accompanied in the water by someone aged 14 or older. Accompanying admission is not included.

Public Hearing

City of Fort Saskatchewan New Land Use Bylaw C14-26

The City of Fort Saskatchewan Council will hold a Public Hearing for Bylaw C14-26 that will adopt the City’s new Land Use Bylaw replacing the current Land Use Bylaw C23-20.

Why a New Land Use Bylaw?

As per the Municipal Government Act every municipality must have a Land Use Bylaw and it must align with the City’s statutory plans (Municipal Development Plan and Area Structure Plans).

A land use bylaw provides regulations for what development can occur on private properties and its location, size and  appearance on the property. This helps ensure that different development and buildings work well together within neighbourhoods.

Bylaw C14-26 received Council’s first reading on October 13, 2026. The Final Draft and more information about the project are available for review at fortsask.ca/PublicHearings.

Public Hearing:

2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2026
Council Chambers
City Hall, 10005 – 102 Street
