Help customers find you

A few simple steps can make it easier for customers to find you, see what you offer, and plan a visit.

  • Keep your details up to date. Check your website, Google Business Profile, and social media pages. Make sure your hours, address, phone number, and contact details are correct. Update holiday hours before they change.

  • Show what you offer. Share clear, recent photos of your products, services, and storefront. Feature popular items, new arrivals, and gift ideas. Include prices and details on how to buy or book.

  • Make your storefront welcoming. Keep your entrance clean, well lit, and easy to find. Use window displays, seasonal decorations, and clear signs to catch people’s attention. Keep doors and walkways clear.

  • Offer gift cards. Help customers who are unsure what to buy. Make gift cards easy to purchase, and remind customers that services and experiences make great gifts too.

  • Promote your business regularly. Share updates online and consider local advertising, such as newspapers or cinema ads. Give people a clear reason to visit, along with your location and website.

  • Work with other local businesses. Recommend nearby businesses, share each other’s posts, or create a joint offer. You can help customers discover more reasons to shop locally.

  • Build on good service. Thank customers, invite honest reviews, and respond to feedback with care. A positive experience can bring people back and encourage them to recommend you.
