Fort Saskatchewan Celebrates Canada Day
Canada Day in Fort Saskatchewan is back with even more to enjoy in 2026. Whether you’re an early riser, like our pancakes, love a parade, or are a fireworks fan, there really is something for everyone. Here’s what’s planned for July 1.
Canada Day Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Dow
- Time: 8:00 to 10:00 am
- Location: Fort Saskatchewan Legion Parking Lot (9964 93 Avenue)
Kick off the day with a hot breakfast cooked by the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department, with help from our generous sponsor, Dow Canada. Donations to the Fire Department’s boot drive will support the Muscular Dystrophy Society. Indoor seating is available inside the Legion’s community hall.
Canada Day Parade sponsored by Pembina
- Start Time: 11:00 am
Find your spot along the route and enjoy a colourful parade filled with local spirit. This year features a new parade route designed to improve safety, traffic flow, and overall event logistics for participants and spectators. Residents are encouraged to review the updated route map and plan ahead for road closures and viewing locations.

Canada Day Festival in Legacy Park
- Opening Ceremony: 1:00 pm
- All activities are FREE! (except food and drinks)

Feature Show
Ride the Vibe – Freestyle Trials Shows
With experience performing freestyle trials stunts all over the world, Ride the Vibe knows how to put on an intense performance. Using the best in the business, with our athletes having performed at big-name events all around the world, from Australia to Malaysia, and from Canada to China, there are no limitations on performance possibilities.
Expect to see fender-scratching balance-point wheelies, rolling nose-wheelies, 360 nose wheelies, C-can wall and roof riding, and helmet-scraping low backflips.

Getting Around Town
Parking is limited behind the North Central Co-op. Public transit is FREE, will run all day, and is encouraged as the main mode of transportation. Find routes and Park & Ride options on the Canada Day Transit brochure.

- Fort Heritage Precinct: Open House from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at 10006 100 Ave. Canon firing behind the North West Mounted Police Fort at 3:30 and 5:00 pm.
- Car Show and Shine (sponsored by OK Tire Fort Saskatchewan/CSN Fort Saskatchewan) Free car show in Downtown Fort Saskatchewan.
- Chamber of Commerce Farmer’s Market: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the CN Station parking lot.
- St. George’s Church: Burgers, hot dogs, pie, and a bake sale from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
