Formerly known as Prairie EMS, Medavie Health Services West provides Advanced Life Support (ALS)  and operates in Fort Saskatchewan and seven other communities within central and northeast Alberta..

An Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) and an Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
