Youth Programs
The City of Fort Saskatchewan offers programs, services, and resources to help youth build resilience and connection within their community. Through everything from leadership training and volunteering to youth groups and wellness supports, young people and their families can access the tools and support they need to thrive. Youth Council
The Youth Council works with City Council and community partners to support youth initiatives and ensure youth perspectives are reflected in City policies, programs, and services. Through advocacy and collaboration, the Youth Council helps drive positive change on issues that matter to youth in Fort Saskatchewan.
Youth Advisory Committee
The Youth Advisory Committee focuses on youth-driven volunteering, fundraising, wellness, and project-oriented initiatives. Its purpose is to involve youth in the community and plan events and activities for youth through collaboration with other groups and agencies. The committee is open to youth ages 13–18 and meets every other Tuesday at 4:00–5:00 pm, September through June.

Rainbow Alliance
Rainbow Alliance is a safe, inclusive space for youth aged 12–25 who identify as 2SLGBTQ+ or as allies. The group promotes inclusion and self-expression through open discussion and community connection. Rainbow Alliance is primarily for those living in Fort Saskatchewan but welcomes youth from surrounding communities.
PARTY Program
The PARTY (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth) program is a one-day injury awareness and prevention initiative for high school students ages 15+. Led by first responders, the program shows the consequences of risk-related behaviours like impaired driving. It aims to reduce injuries and fatalities by exposing teens to the outcomes of their choices.

Snow Angels
Snow Angels is a volunteer snow clearance program to assist seniors with a disability or medical condition in the community.

Youth Opportunities and Groups
BGC
BGC Fort Saskatchewan provides safe, inclusive spaces and programs to help youth overcome barriers and explore opportunities.
Services include licensed before-and-after school care, summer camps, youth employment and drop-in nights, family and school outreach, and mentorship programs.

The Bridge
Kickstand Fort Saskatchewan Operated by The Bridge helps youth navigate health and social supports.
Services include free health and wellness workshops, one-on-one counselling, substance use and harm reduction support, restorative justice circles, 2SLGBTQ+ peer support groups, and more. Referrals aren’t required and walk-ins are accepted.

Youth Outreach
The Youth Outreach Worker provides free, confidential short-term support to Fort Saskatchewan youth aged 6–18 and their families. Support may address emotional, family, school, or social concerns. While the Youth Outreach Worker does not provide psychiatric assessments, they help families access resources, strengthen relationships, and work toward positive goals.
