There are a number of convenient ways for you to pay your Property taxes.
Through your Financial Institution (Online, Telephone Banking, or In Person)
- Make sure you have the proper payee and account number before submitting your payment.
- Your roll number is your account number.
- If you have recently moved, the tax roll number will be different than on your previous property. If you own multiple properties, payments must be designated to each tax roll number.
- Allow a minimum of seven (7) days processing time (keep receipt of transaction to verify payment).
- You can view your past account transactions online through Virtual City Hall. Use our step-by-step instructions to activate your account.
Through Fort Saskatchewan's Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
The Fort Electronic Payment Plan is a convenient way to pay your taxes and utility bills.
In Person at a City Facility
Cash, cheque, or debit (please ensure your daily limit is sufficient) at one of the following City facilities:
- City Hall, First Floor — 10005 102 Street
- Dow Centennial Centre — 8700 84 Street
- Harbour Pool — 10001 94 Street
Credit cards or credit card cheques are not accepted for tax payments when paying in person.
Through Mail
Mail your cheque, payable to City of Fort Saskatchewan, and enclose the remittance portion of your bill to:

Drop off payment in the City Hall Drop Box at top of the exteriof front steps.
Credit Card Payments through OptionPay
OptionPay is a secure, third-party Canadian payment provider that accepts Visa and Mastercard for a nominal processing fee. You will be notified of the fee amount prior to the payment being processed. The City does not retain any portion of the fees.
- You will need your seven-digit tax roll account number to process your payment.
- To avoid late charges, please allow seven days for receipt of payment.
