Summer is officially baaack with our beloved, turf-trimming sheep! Grab the fam, join us at Legacy Park, and celebrate summer with local food, entertainment, community lead activities, and of course, sheep!

The sheep will make their entrance and parade their way from the River Valley to their summer home in Peter T. Ream Historic Park.

Flock to the festival that honours friends, family, and community.

2026 Headliner: Beppie

Two main shows which start at 12:10 and 2:30 pm.

Beppie (Stephanie Nhan) is a two-time JUNO-nominated children’s musician and educator from Edmonton, Alberta. Her vibrant, high-energy shows and award-winning songs take kids and families on an eclectic musical adventure filled with fun, humor, and heart. Beppie is a Western Canadian Music Award winner and International Songwriting Competition finalist who inspires creativity and connection through her playful, genre-bending approach to children’s music.

What’s Happening? Dive into creativity at our Chalk Art Contest, a partnership with YouthFest. We’re inviting everyone in Fort Saskatchewan to showcase their artistry on a grand canvas - the CN Station parking lot.

  • A 10 ft by 10 ft section of concrete awaits your masterpiece.

If you do not want to participate in the contest but still want to showcase and practice your artistry, there will be a free play/draw area. Just pick up a box of chalk from the YouthFest tent!

Make sure to join us as our woolly flock make their way back to Fort Saskatchewan for the Sheep Grazing season. The Sheep Returning Parade starts at 1:00 pm. Make sure you find a spot along the parade route.

Caricature artist

Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos

  • The Crooked Lion will be offering colourful face painting and sparkly glitter tattoos for all ages.

Inflatables

  • The Big Bounce Theory will be on-site with inflatables and rides that include XXL Jungle Trek Obstacle Course, Foam Party, The Rookie Combo, Penalty Kick, and Rescue Squad Junior Combo.

Mascots

  • Say hi and take a picture with Auggie and The Sheep Dog. Give them a big hug or high-five.

Petting Zoo

 

The festival can sometimes be overwhelming with all of the noise and action. The city is partnering with Autism Edmonton to create a sensory room that provides a diverse selection of sensory equipment curated to cultivate inclusive and supportive environments for neurodivergent individuals.
