Fort’s Summer Send-Off
Saturday, August 30
11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Fort Heritage Precinct, Fort Saskatchewan
Looking for free family fun in Fort Saskatchewan this Labour Day weekend? Come celebrate the end of summer at the Fort’s Summer Send-Off — a full day of activities, entertainment, and local pride.
This year’s event brings together three Fort Sask favourites:
- Alberta Day celebrations
- A special 150th anniversary celebration at the Fort Heritage Precinct
- The Sheep Leaving Parade (The parade portion will be replaced with more time to visit and feed the sheep)
Enjoy live performances, food trucks, kids’ activities, and historical demonstrations. It’s a free, family-friendly way to make the most of the long weekend!
Sheep Leaving Parade presented by Nutrien
Event Update: With extreme heat in the forecast, it's too hot to hit the streets. The parade portion will be replaced with more time to visit and feed the sheep.
You can still visit the flock at the Fort Heritage Precinct:
- Interact with the Sheep from 10:00 to 11:00 am
- Carrot feeding 11:00 to 11:45 am
- Nutrien will be on-site with giveaways
- Photo ops and family-friendly atmosphere
We’re starting earlier so the sheep can head home before the hottest part of the day. Come enjoy this chance to say goodbye to the flock until they return next June at the Legacy Park Family Festival!
