Emergency and Protective Services

Ambulance Medavie Health Services West provides an Advanced Life Support (ALS) service. An Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) and an Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fire Department The Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department is dedicated to the safety of our residents, business community and tourists. More than 45 firefighters provide emergency and non-emergency services.
Municipal Enforcement Services (MES) Fort Saskatchewan Municipal Enforcement Services (MES) employs 7 Community Peace Officers. Officers are appointed by the City to enforce Bylaws and by the Province of Alberta to enforce Provincial statutes and work in partnership with the RCMP to enhance community safety and quality of life.
Police (RCMP) The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP is dedicated to protect and serve the citizens of Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding rural areas under our jurisdiction.

Citywide Emergency Siren System Fort Saskatchewan operates three emergency sirens located across the city. These sirens are in place to alert residents of emergencies.
