Emergency Management Academy

From wildfires and floods to large-scale emergencies, effective incident management depends on trained people working together.
The Fort Saskatchewan Emergency Management Academy provides specialized training for emergency responders looking to build their skills and serve in key roles within a Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). Through position-specific courses and practical exercises, participants gain the knowledge and confidence needed to support complex incidents and coordinated emergency response efforts.

These courses provide emergency responders with an overview of the key duties and responsibilities within a Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT).

Prerequisite: ICS-300 is required for all courses.

Optional Functional Exercise
Participants can put their learning into practice during an optional one-day Functional Exercise.
