Light City Hall
Celebrate community, causes, and special events by lighting up City Hall! Fort Saskatchewan residents, local organizations, and non-profit representatives are invited to request a day of lighting to honour causes, events, or celebrations that matter to our community.
Who Can Apply?

Any resident of Fort Saskatchewan

Representatives from local non-profit organizations

Individuals or groups wishing to highlight a community, local, national, or international cause
Eligible Events & Occasions
Applications are considered for lighting that:

Celebrate community spirit or local festivals

Support awareness campaigns like Pink Shirt Day, World Cancer Day, or Remembrance Day

Honour visiting dignitaries or community leaders
-
Serve as a tribute or memorial to well-documented local or national figures or service members
The City reserves the right to deny requests that are primarily personal, political, polarizing, or commercial in nature.
Lighting Details

Date of Lighting: Requests must specify a single day. Multi-day requests are not permitted.

Colour Selection: Applicants may request one colour. Please provide the HEX code or RGB value, along with the colour name, to ensure accurate lighting.

Please use Color Picker or RapidTables to identify the color codes for the occasion.

Viewing Time: The lights are best viewed after sunset, perfect for photos!

Confirmation: Applicants will receive an e-mail within three weeks indicating whether their request is approved or denied.

Important Note: We do our best to accommodate all eligible requests, but confirmed lighting may be modified if a major situation occurs.
