Public Hearings
To allow for new development or redevelopment, Council will consider redistricting applications in order to apply new regulations to a site. All property owners have the right to make an application to change their zoning. Anyone who feels they may be affected by the proposal has the right to voice their opinion through the planning process.

Roseburn Area Structure Plan (Bylaw C9-25) |
The City of Fort Saskatchewan Council will hold a Public Hearing for Bylaw C9-25, which proposes a new Area Structure Plan for the section of land 18-54-22-W4M. This area is located south of the Southfort Meadows neighbourhood, east of Highway 21, west of 92nd street, and north of the City’s southern boundary or Township Road 542. The new ASP outlines the development of a new neighbourhood that will include residential, commercial, and open park areas. What is an Area Structure Plan (ASP)? An ASP is a statutory plan that is approved by Council. An ASP is used to guide the future growth of a specific geographic area within a municipality. The purpose of an ASP is to provide policies and direction for orderly and efficient development of land, including the coordination of land use, transportation, utilities, and other infrastructure. In preparing the Roseburn ASP, technical studies were completed to provide detailed analysis of the subject lands and implications of proposed land uses. Technical Studies are available upon request.
