Public Hearings

To allow for new development or redevelopment, Council will consider redistricting applications in order to apply new regulations to a site. All property owners have the right to make an application to change their zoning. Anyone who feels they may be affected by the proposal has the right to voice their opinion through the planning process.

Below are applications that are currently being considered or were recently approved by Council.

Current applications

Josephburg Road North Industrial Area Structure Plan Amendment - Bylaw C27-21

An application to amend the Josephburg Road North Industrial Area Structure Plan has been submitted by Select Engineering Consultants on behalf of TAG Development Ltd. The application proposes the following amendments:

  • Addition of two municipal reserve lots to the south-west plan area.
  • Addition of a new storm water management facility to the south-west plan area.
  • Amendments to align the Area Structure Plan with the approved Josephburg Road North Industrial Outline Plan.

The two municipal reserve sites will accommodate tree plantings, and serve as reclaimed natural area. As the municipal reserve sites are located within an industrial area, they are not intended for public recreational use. A storm water management facility will be added north of Township Road 550. The amendments will align the Area Structure Plan map figures with the approved Outline Plan.

Heartland Industrial Park Stage 2 Rezoning - Bylaw C28-21

An application to rezone lands in the Heartland Industrial Park has been submitted by Select Engineering Consultants on behalf of TAG Developments Ltd. The application rezones lands from:

  • IR - Industrial Reserve District to PR - Parks and Recreation District,
  • IR - Industrial Reserve District to PU - Public Utility District,
  • PU - Public Utility District to PR - Parks and Recreation District

The PR – Parks and Recreation District will be applied to 4.02 hectares (9.93 acres) of lands. These lands will accommodate tree plantings and serve as reclaimed natural area. As these lands are located within an industrial area, they are not intended for public recreational use.

The PU – Public Utility District is being applied to 0.15 hectares (0.37 acres) of lands. The public utility lot will accommodate a drainage ditch.
