Need an electrical, plumbing, or gas permit in Fort Saskatchewan? If you're planning to add, move, or modify any electrical, plumbing, or gas systems, even in a single-family home, you’ll need a permit before starting work.
Not sure if you need an electrical, plumbing or gas permit? Call us at 780-992-6207.
For most residential improvements in a single-family dwelling, a homeowner can apply for electrical, plumbing, or gas permits if they live in the home and are completing the work themselves.
For all other projects, including those in duplexes, multi-residential homes or commercial properties, a licenced and certified contractor is required to apply for these permits.

We price electrical, plumbing & gas permits using the Fees & Charges Bylaw. Permit costs depend on the type of work, cost of work or finished area.
