Councillor Patrick Noyen
Councillor Patrick Noyen and his wife, Sydney, have been active members of the Fort Saskatchewan community for more than a decade. Together, they are raising their young sons while continuing to coach local sports, serve on community boards, stay engaged in music circles, and operate a family business.
Patrick grew up on an acreage near Fort Saskatchewan and was actively involved in local programs from a young age, including French immersion schooling, the Piranhas Swim Club, the Barvinok Ukrainian Dancers, and community hockey and soccer. He completed high school with honours through the International Baccalaureate Program at Salisbury Composite High School in Sherwood Park.
Driven by an interest in entrepreneurship and leadership, Patrick pursued a Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce through the University of Alberta’s Faculté Saint-Jean and School of Business. During his studies, he also competed as a member of the University of Alberta Swim Team, balancing academic and athletic commitments.
Patrick has gained experience across a range of corporate and public-sector roles before founding his own company in the landscape and snow-clearing industry. During his previous term on Council, he served as the City’s appointed representative on several boards and committees, including the Heartland Housing Foundation, Fort Saskatchewan Public Library Board, and River Valley Alliance. He also acted as the Mayor’s alternate on the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board and Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association.
Outside of work, Patrick values time with his family and remains active in the community as a returning soccer coach, church member, and recreational volleyball player.
Patrick is committed to supporting Fort Saskatchewan as it continues to grow and evolve. With significant residential, industrial, and infrastructure developments ahead, he is focused on thoughtful governance that balances growth with long-term sustainability and quality of life for all residents.
